Let's end the shelter cycle,
one pet at a time.
Small Wonders Animal Society is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to reducing shelter intake and improving the lives of cats and dogs in underserved communities across North Carolina and beyond. We provide support for essential medical care and spay/neuter services in addition to food, shelter, and other critical supplies to pets in need, helping to ensure no animal is denied care or removed from a loving family due to financial hardship.
What We Provide
Even for healthy dogs, pet medicines are ongoing expenses, and without them pets can suffer or develop serious health issues. Providing this help keeps pets healthier long-term and reduces preventable suffering.
Access to proper medical care can mean the difference between life and death for a pet. This assistance ensures animals get the care they need to recover, thrive, and remain with their families.
By ensuring pets stay well-fed, families are less likely to face the heartbreaking choice of surrendering their animals to overcrowded shelters. It keeps beloved pets in their homes and promotes overall health and stability.
TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) prevents endless breeding cycles, reduces the spread of disease, and helps outdoor cats live healthier, safer lives while easing the burden on shelters and neighborhoods.
